The ultimate comparison. Sound test of: Marantz PM6003 + Monitor Audio BX2, Marantz PM6003 + JBL ES20 Logitech Z-5500 Let the music do the talking. First observations: Monitor Audio BX2 - nice bass, perfect treble. Recommendation mainly for rock, metal, trance and so on. Personally - nice allrounder. JBL ES20 - weak bass, unpleasant highs (too much hiss). I wouldn't recommend them for music. This speakers should be used on sides of 5.1 system only. Logitech Z-5500 (sets: connected via optical SPDIF, stereo x2, volume: 15%, subwoofer: 70%, surround: 50%) - powerful bass, sometimes sloppy. They lack mids and sound bad in music.
